Application for Extension of Payment

Disclaimer

Only criminal cases are able to take on-line payments at this time. Not all cases are eligible for online payments. No online payments will be accepted from those considered a juvenile as defined by certain offenses, and may include defendants who are under the age of 21.

For Justice of the Peace cases, if no plea exists, the user must select a plea of Guilty or No Contest and will result in a conviction. A conviction may result in additional surcharges owed to the Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Contact the court if you would like to request driver's safety course, deferred disposition, jail credit or plead not guilty. Once a payment is made online you will NOT be able to ask for a driver's safety course, deferred disposition, jail credit, or change your plea at a later date.

Please allow 1 to 3 business days for your payment/case to be processed, including payments made on a weekend or holiday observed by Nueces County. Warrants will be recalled as soon as possible. It is important to keep your receipt for proof of payment.

If you have a Department of Public Safety failure to appear hold on your driver's license, please allow 1 to 2 business days for the court to notify DPS that the outstanding violation has been satisfied.

If you have any questions about making an online payment, you should contact the court before proceeding.

There will be a 5% convenience fee added to your total balance for all online payments.
